Abstract: As a co-op school that sends 1800+ students on co-op annually, Wentworth Institute of Technology uses the module heavily. They will describe how they use it for students to write learning outcomes, gather all information, and allow students to receive pre-approval and approval to register for this full-time, zero credit requirement. All evaluations are written for each major, asking learning outcomes predicated by each accrediting body. Also discussed will be the usage of these assessments and how they allow Wentworth Institute of Technology’s career services department to be a critical component of accreditation visits, increasing their value to the Institute and creating a significant partnership with academics and IR.

Abstract: Career services is in a time of great transition, gaining more prominence and attention within higher education. Current studies have found that recent graduates do not view career services as helpful to their career preparation. Some suggest an expectations gap exists due to a lack of understanding of our field. This session will focus on an emerging process to help you identify metrics that should matter to your office. The presentation will demonstrate the process and the knowledge to leverage CSM to compile compelling data to help demonstrate the impact of your work.
The Busy Professional’s Guide to Saving Time: Effective Customization of Employer-Facing Forms

Abstract: Who has time to waste? Obtaining the data you need, when you need it, is key! Learn how to customize your CSM registration, job and schedule forms to eliminate additional correspondence with employers. Ask the right questions up front and provide instructive language along the way so your employers know what to do and how to do it.

Abstract: Are you using Survey Monkey or another survey platform to collect data or satisfaction ratings? Why not take advantage of the survey module in CSM so that you can keep all of your data in the same system? Learn the basics of using the survey module in CSM, including set up, modes of collection, and pulling results.
CSM Implementation Experience – an International Perspective

Abstract: The Career and Advising Center at The Nazarbayev University launched the implementation of CSM in May 2016 to improve the interaction between the students/alumni and employers and for the staff of the Center to successfully manage the increasing number of job posting requests and applicants. The session will cover the challenges of setting up the culture of using a new platform among Nazarbayev University students/alumni and employers and how the career center overcame them.

CSM Symposium ’17 Recap
Symplicity hosted its annual CSM Symposium in beautiful Indian Wells, California! Clients from all over the world met to network, exchange tips and learn how to best utilize their systems. There is always an expectation that attendees will come away from CSM Symposium with a wealth of new knowledge about taking advantage of CSM’s full capabilities, and we’re confident that expectation was met this year!
President and CEO Matt Small kicked off the event with an introduction of himself, this being his first CSM Symposium, and an overview of the exciting direction Symplicity continues to launch into. He discussed Symplicity Radius, our new integration layer; our newly announced partner program with other industry leaders; and our renewed mission based around openness, connectivity and constant innovation.
